Hilldale U.M.C. Blood Drives
Chairs: Brandon M. Harrison & Judy Cloud
Mission Purpose: Hilldale UMC partners with the American Red Cross (ARC) to host an average of one (1) blood drive per quarter.
Missions Greatest Needs: The greatest needs facing this mission at Hilldale are precluded donors (due to medication, illness, or deployment to a deferral area) and member apathy.
Mission Testimony: This mission touches everyone, in some way. We have had individual church members stand at their seats to offer support and encouragement based on how donating blood has touched their lives, or the lives of someone they know personally. Personally speaking, I received blood at birth and am grateful for the selfless life saving gift that someone gave to me without ever having met me or my family. To me it is an example of sincerity in giving - with know hope or expectation of recognition.
