Disciple Bible Study

Mission Purpose: Promotes and coordinates small-group, organized Disciple Bible studies for anyone interested in becoming a better disciple of Jesus Christ through the study of God's Word.
Mission's Greatest Needs: Persons who want to study the Bible in order to become more familiar with the Word and thus a better Christian disciple and who are willing to make the commitment to participate and to study for the length of the session. In addition, each class must have committed leaders who are willing to facilitate the sessions.
Mission Testimony: There is a joy that comes with becoming more familiar with the Bible and its content and in being able to apply what is learned there to our everyday lives. The small group study environment offers support and friendship during the journey and not only gives each person a sense of belonging but provides a forum where thoughts can be expressed and ideas can be shared without fear of ridicule or rejection.

Additional Information: The Disciple Bible Study is a series of classes that begins with a comprehensive overview of the Bible and then continues with more in-depth studies of certain areas of the Bible. Each of the four studies takes from 32-34 weeks to complete. In addition to the Disciple series, there are 2 other 34 week classes available for study: 1) Jesus in the Gospels; and 2) The Christian Believer. Other studies exist in the same format as the longer-term Disciple studies but which are much shorter - most only eight weeks. Some of these are: Introduction to the Old Testament, Introduction to the New Testament, Study of the Book of Genesis, Study of the Book of Romans. Classes will be offered as possible - depending on timing and participants.
